Product Using Principle

ABB IMASI03 enables signal interaction through three card edge connectors (P1, P2, P3):  

P1 interface: Connects to a 24V DC power supply and analog signals from field sensors.  

P2 interface: Connects to the Infi 90 expansion bus for bidirectional data communication with the main controller, transmitting digital signals converted by the ADC and diagnostic information.

P3 interface: Used for cascaded communication between expansion modules.


The workflow is as follows:  

Field analog signals are input via the P1 interface and adjusted in amplitude by a programmable gain amplifier.  

A 16-bit ADC converter converts the analog signals into digital values with a precision of ±0.1% of the reading.

Digital signals are transmitted via the P2 interface to the MFP module, where the control system performs logical operations and closed-loop control.

The module continuously monitors channel status and provides feedback to the host computer via LED indicator lights and diagnostic protocols.
