Product Using Principle

ABB IMFEC12 connects to field transmitters via terminals or cables to receive analog current or voltage signals.  

The signal is divided and filtered before entering the A/D converter, where it is converted into a 16-bit digital value (range: -32768 to +32767).  

The microprocessor performs linearization, range conversion, and fault diagnosis on the digital signal. The processed data is transmitted via a dedicated bus to a multifunction processor or controller for real-time monitoring and regulation by the control system.

It supports software calibration (via the ABB Composer tool) or hardware jumper settings for input type and filtering parameters.

It allows selection of the transmitter power supply mode (external power supply or internal module power supply) via DIP switches.
