ABB INNIS21 serves as the front-end interface for the Cnet network, connecting to the Cnet bus via a microprocessor communication circuit and collaborating with the IN NPM 22 module through a dedicated I/O expansion bus. Its core function is to convert field device protocols into a format recognizable by the Cnet network, enabling cross-device data interaction.

ABB INNIS21 receives sensor signals, performs analog-to-digital conversion, and parses protocols, achieves real-time mapping of Modbus/Profibus to Cnet protocols via its built-in processor, control commands are sent to actuators via expansion modules to form a closed-loop control system.
