Product Using Principle
The digital signals from the field devices are connected to ABB NTDI21-A via screw terminals, with each group of 8 channels transmitted to the DCS controller via independent circuits. The input signals are optically isolated and then converted by the onboard circuitry into logic levels recognizable by the controller.
Each channel corresponds to an LED indicator light. A steady green light indicates the signal is closed (ON), while a darkened light indicates it is open (OFF). When a signal abnormality occurs, the indicator light flashes or darkens, aiding in quickly locating the fault point.
ABB NTDI21-A can be connected to the I/O expansion bus via the P3 connector to transmit digital signals to the controller. It also supports the PROFIBUS DP protocol, enabling communication with other fieldbus devices.
