Product Features
ABB TPS02 has an overspeed protection function that limits speed increase by closing the high-pressure regulating valve when the speed exceeds 103% of the rated value.
ABB TPS02 has an emergency trip function, which triggers low-pressure and high-pressure shutdowns when the rotational speed reaches 110% of the rated value, quickly cutting off all valve hydraulic pressure.
ABB TPS02 has power imbalance protection functionality, comparing electrical load with mechanical power input to prevent the risk of overspeed caused by sudden load changes.
ABB TPS02 supports triple redundant input signal processing combined with a two-out-of-three voting logic to avoid single-point failures.
ABB TPS02 has built-in self-diagnostic functionality, continuously monitoring module health status and providing feedback on abnormalities via LED indicator lights.
ABB TPS02 supports communication with the INFI 90 master control module via an expansion bus, transmitting critical data such as speed and power. It is compatible with the Modbus RTU protocol, enabling integration with third-party upper-level systems.
Product Using Principle
ABB TPS02 receives speed sensor signals through three independent channels, uses a microprocessor to calculate real-time speed, and compares it with a preset threshold. At the same time, analog signals such as power and pressure are converted into digital signals via analog-to-digital conversion and then enter the protection logic unit.
When overspeed or power imbalance is detected, ABB TPS02 can generate a trip signal via a two-out-of-three logic circuit, driving the relays in the terminal unit to disconnect the hydraulic oil circuit, while simultaneously sending an alarm message to the main control system via the expansion bus.
ABB TPS02 features three independent processors operating in parallel, with results verified by hardware comparators to ensure output consistency. If a channel fails, the system automatically switches to a redundant path and triggers an alarm.
