Disadvantage

Compared with 3500/42M, 176449-04 has a single function and cannot measure vibration. On a bearing housing that needs to monitor both vibration and displacement simultaneously, it may be necessary to install 3500/42M and 3500/45 at the same time, which increases the cost and complexity.

As a highly specialized module, its cost is relatively high, with a unit price much higher than that of general-purpose I/O modules or simple LVDT transmitters.

It has a strong dependence on I/O modules. The 176449-04 is merely the main processing unit and must be paired with the correct I/O module to achieve specific sensor input and termination methods. Incorrect selection can lead to missing functions.
