Bently Nevada 330905-00-09-05-02-05 is mechanically and electrically compatible with the 3300 RAM probe and extension cable, and is a direct replacement for the extension cable and Proximitor Sensor required for upgrades from the 3000/7000 Series 190 system.


Bently Nevada 330905-00-09-05-02-05 utilizes patented TipLoc molding technology to ensure a strong bond between the probe tip and the body, and a patented CableLoc design that provides 220 N (50 lb) of tensile strength to prevent the cable from falling out.


Its chemical resistance is superior to the 3300 RAM probe, making it ideal for complex applications such as process compressors.

Side-view characteristics are superior to those of the 3000 Series 190 Probe, providing greater measurement stability on small targets, such as small diameter shafts, with the same clearance.


Bently Nevada 330905-00-09-05-02-05 comes with a gold plated brass ClickLoc connector that locks to prevent loosening with a standard cable (DD=02), recommended connector protection (accessory 03800000/03800001) or silicone banding, and an unarmored design (330905 is an unarmored model) for environments that are not exposed to severe mechanical wear and tear.


Product Functions

Bently Nevada 330905-00-09-05-02-05 as the core component of an eddy current sensor system, it operates on the principle of the eddy current effect:


Its probe coil is energized with a high-frequency alternating current, which generates an alternating magnetic field. When the probe is placed close to an electrically conductive target (e.g., a metal shaft), eddy currents are induced in the surface of the target, and the magnetic field generated by the eddy currents reacts back on the probe coil, changing its impedance.


The change in impedance is transmitted via a cable to the 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor, where it is converted into a voltage signal proportional to the probe-target gap (linear within 1.5 mm).


The system analyzes this voltage signal to provide real-time monitoring of mechanical parameters such as radial vibration, axial position, and speed.
