ABB PM590-ETH is equipped with a 32-bit Freescale ARM processor with a clock speed of 400MHz and supports fast instruction execution (minimum cycle time of 0.002µs for binary instructions).

ABB PM590-ETH has 2MB of program memory (flash EPROM+RAM), 3072kB of data memory (including 1536kB buffer), and supports memory card expansion (for user data storage, program backup and firmware update).

ABB PM590-ETH has built-in Ethernet interface (10/100 base-TX, 1x RJ45), supports TCP/IP, Web server, SNTP and IEC60870-5-104 protocols for remote monitoring and data uploading.

ABB PM590-ETH has 2 RS-232/485 interfaces (configurable, rate 0.3~187.5 kB/s), supporting Modbus (master/slave), CS31 bus protocol, compatible with programming and serial communication.

ABB PM590-ETH has 1 FBP interface to support fieldbus expansion and can connect up to 4 external communication modules (e.g. PROFIBUS DP, CANopen, etc.).

ABB PM590-ETH has a battery backup of data, a typical data buffer time of 3 years after power failure (+25°C) and a low battery alarm 2 weeks in advance.

ABB PM590-ETH is equipped with LCD display, 8 function keys and LEDs, and supports RUN/STOP switching, status display and fault diagnosis.

Product Using Principle
