Product Using Principle
ABB PM802F periodically collects signals from field sensors via the fieldbus module, processes them using the user-programmed control program within the internal CPU, and then sends control commands to the actuator via the fieldbus module to achieve closed-loop process control.
When configured with dual AC 800F units, the primary unit synchronizes configuration data, real-time commands, and status information to the secondary unit via a second Ethernet module. If the primary unit fails, the secondary unit immediately takes over control after detecting the failure via the redundant link. The switching process is transparent to the upper-level system, ensuring uninterrupted production.
Configuration information and real-time data are stored in RAM. In the event of a power outage, data is maintained by power from the Ethernet module or the battery module (AM 801F), preventing configuration loss upon restart. Low battery levels are indicated by an LED alarm, ensuring timely maintenance.
Communication with the operator station and engineering station is achieved through the Ethernet system bus of the first Ethernet module, supporting configuration downloads and module status reporting; communication with field devices is completed through modules connected via four fieldbus slots, supporting parallel processing of multiple protocols.
