Allen Bradley 1203-GU6 is equipped with a three-color LED (DeviceNet status, module status, SCANport status) for diagnosing the health status of the network, module, and SCANport products.

Allen Bradley 1203-GU6 features a miniature RS-232 port at the front, which can be connected to a PC via a 1203-SFC cable for parameter editing, firmware upgrades, etc. (the 1336-GM6 does not have this port).

Allen Bradley 1203-GU6 primarily obtains operating power from connected SCANport products, with the DeviceNet side consuming only a small amount of transceiver power (24V DC).


Product Working Principle

Allen Bradley 1203-GU6 can receive control commands from DeviceNet, convert them into SCANport protocol messages, and send them to connected SCANport products.

It can receive status information from SCANport products, convert it into DeviceNet protocol messages, and send it back to the controller in the DeviceNet network.

It can customize communication rules through parameter configuration, supporting master-slave communication (interacting with scanners) and peer-to-peer communication (interacting with other adapters).
