Product Features
Allen Bradley 1771-IBD is sensitive to electrostatic discharge and must be protected from damage by grounding, anti-static wristbands, and other measures. When not in use, it should be stored in its original electrostatic shielding packaging.
Allen Bradley 1771-IBD features adjustable filter delay, supporting 1ms or 6ms shutdown delay filter time (default 1ms), which can be set via jumpers on the circuit board to reduce input signal interference.
The front panel includes 1 green “module activation indicator light” (illuminates when powered) and 16 red “input status indicator lights” (corresponding to input terminals 00-17, illuminate when voltage is present).
Allen Bradley 1771-IBD can be connected to 2-wire or 3-wire input devices via the 1771-WH field wiring arm and supports current source mode.
Product Working Principle
Allen Bradley 1771-IBD can obtain power from the chassis power supply (130mA@5V DC) via the 1771 I/O chassis backplane. After receiving an external 10-30V DC input signal, it is filtered (according to the set 1ms/6ms delay) and converted into a digital signal, which is then transmitted to the processor via the backplane.
Allen Bradley 1771-IBD has a 2-wire device, with one end connected to terminals 00-17 and the other end connected to the DC positive terminal (+DC). Terminal E is connected to the DC common terminal (DC common).
Allen Bradley 1771-IBD has a 3-wire device that operates in current source mode. The wiring configuration is similar to the 2-wire device, with terminals A-D unused.
Its green “activation light” indicates normal module power supply, and the red “input status light” indicates that the corresponding terminal has voltage input and the signal is valid.
