Product Using Principle
Each channel of the FOXBORO FBM207B module accepts a 2-wire input from a DC voltage source or a pair of contacts or solid state switches. The associated termination assembly supports discrete input signals of varying voltages, and for voltages above 60V DC, the termination assembly has additional signal conditioning hardware to provide voltage attenuation and optical isolation. The module performs signal conversion to interface electrical input signals from field sensors to the redundant module fieldbus, and also executes programs such as discrete inputs, ladder logic, pulse counting, and event sequences with configurable input filtering times.
