FOXBORO FBM219 has 24 discrete inputs and 8 discrete outputs and supports group isolation and supports multi-voltage signals including 15-60V dc, 120V ac/125V dc, 240V ac.

FOXBORO FBM219 is ruggedized for Class G3 (harsh) environments as defined by the ISA S71.04 standard, and is vibration resistant (0.75m/S², 5-500Hz).

FOXBORO FBM219 is configurable in terms of input filter time (no filter, 4/8/16/32ms), Fail Safe mode, and output type (continuous/instantaneous).

FOXBORO FBM219 has an integrated LED indicator on the front to show the module's operating status and the discrete status of each input/output point.

FOXBORO FBM219 can be removed/replaced without disconnecting field device wiring, power or communication cables for easy maintenance.

FOXBORO FBM219 communicates with FCM (Fieldbus Communications Module) or FCP (Control Processor) via a 2Mbps redundant fieldbus and supports automatic A/B path switching to ensure communication continuity.

The input/output circuits are protected by current limiting, TA integrated fusing, optical isolation, etc. to prevent overcurrent or signal interference.


Product Using Principle

Field I/O signals are connected to FOXBORO FBM219 through a DIN rail-mounted TA, which is responsible for signal conditioning, isolation, and protection.

FOXBORO FBM219 executes discrete I/O or ladder logic programs, processes signals according to configured parameters such as filtering time and fail-safe mode, and displays the status in real time through LEDs.

FOXBORO FBM219 communicates with the FCM/FCP via a 2Mbps redundant fieldbus, and the redundant design ensures that communication is not interrupted in the event of a single-path failure.

The redundant design ensures uninterrupted communication in the event of a single path failure. The hot-swappable design allows online replacement of modules without interrupting the operation of the field equipment, the TA is connected to the module by a dedicated cable (maximum 30m), supporting remote installation.
