Function Features
Software Configurability：Digital inputs of Foxboro RTU50 are software configurable and can be individually set as accumulators, momentary change detection inputs, status inputs, or a combination of these. Analog inputs also have software-configurable features such as plug-in resistors for current loops and continuous auto input calibration/check .
Protection and Input Processing: The digital inputs subsystem has optical isolation, filtering, and surge transients protection. Foxboro RTU50 writes the contact status information to the microprocessor in its barroid and also uses the contact bounce circuitry. The analog inputs subsystem has surge transients and noise protection that sends a multiplexed sample to the A/D converter.
