It acts as a repeater, amplifying and retransmitting Rio bus signals over fiber optic cables, so remote I/O branches can be located up to 10 km away from the controller; it then significantly extends the reach of such control systems.

Multi-connection support: This device supports both fiber optic line and electrical line branch links. Among other unique features, it allows connecting additional Rio branches or any other device, thus providing more connection options for the entire system and eliminating interference between different types of devices.

It operates in a completely passive manner and does not introduce regeneration/full signal delay.
