It adopts the Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) architecture. From the input module to the main processor and then to the output module, it is completely triple-modular in design. Each I/O module contains three independent channels, namely the so-called "branches". Efficient Data Processing and Communication of Triconex 4000056-002：

After each channel of the input module reads the process data, it will transmit the information to its corresponding main processor. The three main processors communicate with each other through the dedicated high-speed bus system - Tribus. During each scan, these three processors will coordinate and exchange information with the two adjacent processors via Tribus. This module will conduct voting on the digital input data, compare the calculation results of the three main processors with the output data, and resend copies of the analog input data to each of the main processors for processing. The main processor executes the control program and then drives the output module with the output generated by the control program. The output module will conduct voting processing on the output data as close to the field as possible. In this way, during the process from voting to the final output to the field, the system can detect and compensate for any errors that may occur within this range.
