YOKOGAWA EC401-51 provides a single-port ESB bus interface, which serves as a communication bridge between the Field Control Unit (FCU) and the Node Unit (NU), realizing efficient data transmission.

YOKOGAWA EC401-51 can be configured with dual redundant ESB buses by installing two modules in slots 7 and 8 of the FCU, which greatly improves the reliability of the system communication and avoids interruption of communication caused by a single point of failure.

YOKOGAWA EC401-51 flexible adaptation for a non-redundant bus, the module must be installed in slot 7 of the designated field control unit, and slot 8 must be covered with a dummy module. For dual redundant buses, slots 7 and 8 are occupied simultaneously.
