Principle of Use

Emerson A6210 is based on eddy current sensing technology. It measures the relative displacement changes of the shaft system and the fixed parts by non-contact, and combines the following three modes to achieve multi-dimensional monitoring:


  • Thrust position mode: monitor axial displacement to prevent the rotor from contacting the housing. The sensor is installed at the shaft end or thrust collar, and the measured value is compared with the alarm threshold in real time (response time ≤40 ms), triggering shutdown protection.
  • Differential expansion mode: Emerson A6210 measures the difference in thermal expansion between the rotor and the stator. The sensor is installed on the housing and the shaft, and the expansion difference is analyzed through complementary or conical mode to ensure the thermal balance of the equipment.
  • Piston rod position mode: Emerson A6210 monitors the piston rod drop of reciprocating compressors and evaluates the wear of riding belts. Track the rod position through the displacement probe and set the trip threshold to prevent mechanical damage.
