Usage Parameters
Communication Interface: The Vibration IOCN has a main Ethernet connector (8P8C/RJ45) for communication with VM600 MPSx software, Modbus TCP and/or PROFINET. There is also a second Ethernet connector (8P8C/RJ45) for redundant Modbus TCP communication. In addition, it has a main serial connector (6P6C/RJ11/RJ25) for direct connection to VM600 MPSx software, and two pairs of serial connectors (6P6C/RJ11/RJ25) that can be used to configure a multi-point RS-485 network for the VM600 rack.
Signal Channel: The Vibration IOCN has 4 dynamic signal channels and 2 tachometer (speed) channels, all of which are individually programmable. It makes the measurement and monitoring of various mechanical parameters flexible and highly accurate.
Working Voltage: It adopts standard working voltage, which is suitable for normal industrial power supply environment and helps the equipment to operate stably.
Environmental Considerations: The Vibration IOCN has an ambient temperature range of -25°C to 60°C, providing multiple advantages for proper operation in different operating conditions and environments.
Product Features
Data Communication and Gateway Functionality: As an essential component of the VM600 rack-mounted machinery protection system (MPS) and/or condition monitoring system (CMS), the Vibration IOCN can be used as a system controller and data communication gateway. Communication between different components of the system and with external devices such as DCS or PLC is seamless, providing a mechanism for data exchange and integration.
Measurement and Monitoring: The Vibration IOCN uses advanced DSP technology to measure and monitor machinery parameters in real time. It provides programmable wideband and narrowband filters as well as synchronous monitoring of amplitude and phase in order tracking mode. With programmable alarm, danger, OK set points and adaptive alarm/danger levels, it can very effectively identify machinery anomalies and react accordingly.
Signal Analysis and Display: The front panel BNC connector allows easy analysis of the buffer discharge time signal, while the front panel LEDs display signal status and alarms, giving the user an overview of the equipment's operating status and any potential problems.
Configuration Management: Vibration IOCN connects to a computer running VM600 MPSx software via Ethernet or RS-232 serial, providing "one-time" configuration management for protection cards (MPC4 and AMC8) on the VM600 rack. Simple setup saves time and effort in installing and maintaining the system.
System Logging and Event Recording: VM600 MPSx software provides full access to event logs of VM600 system events and measurement events for a complete operating history of the system. This helps with troubleshooting, performance analysis, and providing evidence for regulatory compliance.
Application Scope
Industrial Machinery: Widely used in most types of industrial machinery, including rotating equipment such as motors, pumps, compressors, and turbines. It continuously monitors the mechanical condition of the machine, detects early signs of failure or abnormal vibration, and ensures timely preventive maintenance. This further reduces unplanned downtime of the machine while increasing productivity by improving equipment reliability.
Power Generation: Vibration IOCN is used in power plants, including thermal, hydro, and wind power plants, to monitor the condition of generators, turbines, and other critical equipment. It provides accurate real-time data on parameters such as vibration and temperature, ensuring that power plants operate efficiently and safely, reducing failures and improving power generation efficiency.
Manufacturing plants: This is used to monitor the mechanical health of manufacturing process equipment, such as conveyors, machining centers, and robotic arms. Manufacturers can optimize maintenance schedules and reduce downtime to improve the quality of manufactured products and overall manufacturing efficiency.
