Application Scenarios
Monitoring of Turbine Shafts: This measurement detects misalignment or bearing wear by measuring axial and radial displacement in steam/gas turbines and thus prevents major failures. In combined-cycle power plants, for instance, it provides safe separation between rotating and stationary components.
Compressor Vibration Analysis — Tracks dynamic eccentricity in higher-speed compressors (for example: offshore gas processing units) to optimize efficiency and mitigate expenses by identifying risks of rotor imbalance.
Pump Bearing Lubrication Control: Monitors the thickness of the oil film in hydro pumps and provides early warning of lubrication failure. It is very important for hydropower plants running at variable loads.
Installation & Maintenance
Mounting: The EPRO PR6423/012-100 features an M10x1 or 3/8"-24UNF thread for flexible positioning. Ensure a minimum shaft diameter of 25 mm and an initial air gap of 0.5 mm (±0.1 mm) to maintain measurement accuracy. Use torque-limiting tools to avoid over-tightening.
Cabling: Armored cables (6 mm diameter) with a minimum bending radius of 35 mm are recommended for high-stress routing near rotating equipment or in confined spaces.
