CON021 is a universal eddy current signal converter. It provides high-frequency excitation for the sensor and linearly converts the weak induced signal into standard -2V to -18V or -4V to -20V direct current voltage signals for use in monitoring systems.

This combination is the main configuration for monitoring the shaft vibration, axial displacement, eccentricity, and rotational speed of equipment such as steam turbines, gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, large pumps, and fans. CON021 inherits all the advantages of the eddy current technology in terms of non-contact and high reliability, and with the advantage of the 16mm probe, it can adapt to a wider range of industrial application scenarios, making it a classic choice that balances performance and cost-effectiveness.

Ideal Performance Balance Point

The 16mm probe is the "sweet spot" size in eddy current sensors. Compared to the 8mm probe, it has a larger measurement range and a deeper sensing field, and is less sensitive to minor defects on the shaft surface and changes in the oil film. Compared to the 32mm probe, it has higher sensitivity and better spatial resolution, and can capture more subtle vibration characteristics. This makes the PR6424 one of the most widely used eddy current sensors.

High Dynamic Response and Wide Range Integration

The 20kHz frequency bandwidth ensures the ability to accurately capture from low-frequency shaft bending to high-frequency bearing fault characteristics. At the same time, the 10.0mm linear range is sufficient to cover the entire shaft motion range of most medium and large-sized rotating machinery during startup, shutdown, and normal operation, including axial displacement caused by thermal expansion.

Excellent Environmental Adaptability

The working temperature range of -35°C to +150°C and the robust construction of stainless steel/PTFE enable it to be reliably deployed in various harsh environments, from cold northern power plants to hot tropical refineries.

Precise Linearization and Temperature Compensation

The entire system is calibrated as a whole. The circuit inside CON021 has been optimized for the PR6424, effectively compensating for sensitivity drift caused by temperature changes, ensuring high linearity and stable output throughout the working temperature range.
