PR6426/010-110 + CON021/916-160 is a high-range, non-contact eddy current displacement measurement solution specifically designed for super-large rotating machinery, provided by German Epro.

PR6426/010-110 is an eddy current sensor with a probe diameter of 32mm. The huge probe size enables it to generate a deeper and broader induction field, thus allowing for the measurement of targets at greater distances and being insensitive to minor unevenness on the surface being measured.

CON021/916-160 is a dedicated matching eddy current signal converter that provides high-frequency excitation for PR6426 sensors and linearly converts the impedance changes sensed by the sensors into standard -2V to -18V or -4V to -20V DC voltage signals.

This combination is an ideal choice for monitoring axial displacement and large-amplitude vibration of large water turbines, low-speed heavy-load compressors, rolling mills, ship propulsion shafting systems and other equipment. The core value lies in its ability to provide stable, reliable and high-precision measurements even within a gap of several millimeters or even centimeters, which is beyond the reach of small sensors.

The linear range of 16.0mm and the nominal installation clearance of 5.5mm enable the PR6426/010-110 + CON021/916-160 to handle extremely large shaft movement. For instance, in large hydroelectric generating units, due to hydraulic shock and thermal expansion, the axial displacement of the shaft may reach several millimeters or even exceed 1 centimeter. Only sensors of the PR6426 level can cover such a wide range.

The induction field generated by the huge 32mm probe is very deep and smooth. This makes PR6426/010-110 highly immune to local defects on the shaft surface, minor changes in oil film thickness or slight surface roughness. The measurement results reflect the average position of a large area rather than the instantaneous value of a certain point, making the data more stable and reliable.

Designed specifically for heavy machinery

Solid structure. The stainless steel casing and heavy-duty PTFE cables can withstand mechanical stress and high temperatures in heavy industrial environments.
