The RLC16 relay card is intended for the series of machine protection systems and the condition monitoring systems. It's a pull-in-card, when 4 relays (available at the IOC4T input /output card) are not enough for the applicatio how much does good storage cost and need more relays.
The RLC16 is mounted in the rear of a rack (ABE04x or ABE056) and connects directly to the rack backplane via a single connector.
The RLC16 has 16 relays with CO (change-over) contacts. Every relay is wired to 3 terminals on a screw-terminal connector located at the back of the rack.
The open-collector drivers are under software control, driving the relays. RLC16 Jumper Settings on card provide selection of relay to be N.E. or N.D.E.
