Product Features
GE IC200ERM002 supports differential or single-ended communication mode, and can be connected to an expansion transmitter (IC200ETM001) or directly to a main rack (single-ended mode, when there is only 1 expansion rack).
When communication is interrupted, GE IC200ERM002 can support the “Hold Last State” function to maintain the current state of the output module and improve system stability.
GE IC200ERM002 can isolate the system fault, easy to locate and repair the faulty module in the expansion rack without affecting the main system operation.
GE IC200ERM002 does not require DIP switches and can be configured through software. The power supply module can be mounted directly on the module.
Product Working Principle
GE IC200ERM002 as the core control module of the expansion rack, receives control signals and data from the main rack (CPU/NIU) or the expansion transmitter (IC200ETM001) through the expansion cable to realize the communication between the main system and the expansion rack.
3 LEDs provide real-time feedback on the operation status:
PWR: indicates whether the module gets 5VDC power
EXP RX: indicates the communication status of the expansion bus (blinking or always on indicates normal communication, off indicates no communication)
SCAN: green indicates that the CPU/NIU is scanning the I/O of the expansion rack, and yellow indicates that it is not scanning.
When the system is running normally, the module indicates the I/O scanning status of the main system to the expansion rack through the SCAN lamp, the EXP RX lamp provides feedback on whether the communication is normal.
If the communication is interrupted, the module triggers the “Hold Last State” function to keep the output module of the expansion rack in the last state to avoid abnormal action of the equipment.
The power supply module is installed on IC200ERM002 to provide working power for all modules in the expansion rack.
