Product Features
Outputs: 32 separate output points
Group Isolation: GE IC694MDL754 into four isolated groups of eight output points. This design provides flexibility for connecting devices at multiple voltage levels.
Positive Logic: Selected outputs source into the load providing voltage to the connected load for devices that require a level DC voltage
Electronic Short Circuit Protection (ESCP): :Output short circuit and overcurrent protection Resets automatically after fault condition is cleared.
Overtemperature Protection:Disables all outputs automatically upon detecting a critical temperature. Outputs are restored when temperatures return to within safe limits.
LED Indicators:Each output has a corresponding LED to reflect its operational status. Quickly identify faults using group-level fault LEDs.
Fault Detection:Detects and notifies of overcurrent, short circuits, and overtemperature conditions. Diagnostic feedback recognizes obstacles and helps remove them.
Simple Installation:Rx3i racks plug-and-play design Installation is quick, without the need of any special tools.
Flexible Output Wiring:Same module can be configured for 12 VDC and 24 VDC outputs In this case GE IC694MDL754 terminals provide secure connections and easy access during maintenance.
Field Power Supply:GE IC694MDL754 needed an external power supply for its output loads (voltage options need to match the system), called field power supply.
System Compatibility: Completely compatible with PACSystems RX3i CPUs and additional RX3i I/O modules.
Wide-Ranging Use: GE IC694MDL754 Can handle a variety of industrial automation tasks, such as controlling actuators, relays, solenoids, and indicators.
Installation
Slot Compatibility: The GE IC694MDL754 module can be installed in any I/O slot within an RX3i system. Ensure that the system is powered off before installation to prevent electrical hazards.
Wiring: All four isolated groups can be wired to different loads. For example, three out of four groups can turn on 12 VDC loads and a fourth group can power 24 VDC loads. Its groups must maintain isolation from one another.
Field Power Supply: The output loads require an external power supply in the range of +12 VDC to +30 VDC. Take care that the power supply ratings are adequate to supply total load current.
Grounding: Safety and noise immunity depend on proper grounding.
Application range
Manufacturing Systems: Actuators, relays, and indicators control.
Process Automation: Control of valves, pumps and other process control elements.
Autonomous material handling: Conveyors, sorters and automated storage.
Building Automation: Integration with lighting, HVAC and security systems
Troubleshooting
Output Not Responding: Check that your external power supply is in the specified range of voltage, and connections are connected. Confirm there are no blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers in the field wiring.
Overcurrent Faults: When an output point enters a fault state due to over current, check the connected load for shorts or over current. Once the fault condition is cleared, the module's ESCP will automatically attempt to reset.
Over-temperature Warnings: Make sure there is enough air flow around the module, and that no external heat sources are causing it to overheat. Once it cools down to a safe temperature, the module will resume normal operation.
Status LEDs: Apply the module's status LEDs as diagnostic indicators for fault conditions.
