Product Features
Signal: To interface discrete signals from external devices or sensors into the control system, reading the state of these signals and sending it to the control system.
Isolation Protection: Protects module's internal circuitry from electrical noise or interference arising from connected devices by isolating input channels.
High Speed: GE IS220YDIAS1A boasts a fast response timer, which is vital for applications involving real-time monitoring and control, as it enables precise and timely data acquisition.
Status Indication: GE IS220YDIAS1A includes LED lights or similar status indication features to give visual feedback on the status of each input channel, either to help with troubleshooting and diagnosing system concerns.
Compatibility: Specific terminal boards are supported, including IS200STCIS1A and 2A, IS400STCIS1A or 2A, or IS400TBCIS2C.
Installation
Mounting: GE IS220YDIAS1A is made to be connected to specialized terminal boards, including IS200STCIS1A and 2A, IS400STCIS1A or 2A, or IS400TBCIS2C.
Power Connection : The module has inbuilt power supply. Connect the power supply cable to available power, (in range of nominal 28.0 VDC, not exceeding maximum 32 VDC).
Bolt the module: Insert the module into the terminal board and mechanically fasten the module to the studs (threaded) located on each side of the Ethernet ports. The studs fit into a mounting bracket specific to the terminal board type.
Application Range
Turbine Control: GE IS220YDIAS1A Mainly used in General Electric's Mark VIe speedtronic control system for gas and steam industrial control, used to adjust the speed of the steam turbine, complete the hanging brake, automatic judgment of thermal state, select the starting mode, raise the speed, constant speed of 3000 rpm, generator false synchronous test, grid-connected load, lifting load, valve switching, etc.
Industrial Automation: Industrial automation and process control systems of this type can receive signals from different sensors and switches, and then send this signal to the control system to be processed. Additionally, GE IS220YDIAS1A has the capability to distribute the control system output signal to different actuators to facilitate the standard operation of the device.
Troubleshooting
Communication or data transfer is absent: Make sure Ethernet cables are properly connected, and that the network layout is configured accurately and that the module’s IP address aligns with the system’s network configuration. Check for error messages on Profinet network with the diagnostic tools
Faulty Inputs / Outputs: Check wiring connections for each of input and output devices. Make sure that all field devices used with a given module are supported and that the module is configured properly according to the specifications of each field device.
Module Not Powering On: Check the power supply is within the specified range Check wiring and connections for loose or damaged components. If the problem continues, try changing the module.
