Power Supply Features: The 5V DC power supply of the F3430 is already installed as part of the subrack, eliminating the need for separate wiring. The 5V DC power is essential for the CPU, interface control, and I/O modules. It is generated by a clocked 24V DC/5V DC power supply module bearing the F7130A identification. The 5V DC output voltage of the power supply module (for the CPU, I/O, and the interfaces) is monitored on the central unit for voltage checking and failure detection. In case of a faulty power supply module, the operating system provides this information to the user's program via a system variable.
Processor Configuration: The F3430 is equipped with two clock-synchronized microprocessors. Each microprocessor has its own memory. One processor operates with real data and programs, while the other operates with inverted data and programs. There is a testable hardware comparer for all the external accesses of both microprocessors. In the event of a fault, the watchdog will be set to the safe status, and the status of the F3430 processor will be announced.
Memory and Communication: It has flash-EPROMs of the program memory for the operating system and the user's program, which are usable for at least 100,000 writing cycles. There is also data memory in SRAM. The module has 2 interfaces RS 485 with galvanic isolation, and the transmission rate can be set to 9600 bps or 57600 bps by a switch, or other transmission rates can be set by software (where the software values have priority).
Output Capabilities: As a 4-channel relay module, the F3430 can handle resistive or inductive loads up to 500 mA (12 W), and lamp connection up to 4 W. It has integrated safety shutdown and safe isolation features. The internal voltage drop is max. 2V at 500 mA load, and the admissible line resistance (in + out) is max. 11 ohm. The under-voltage tripping occurs at 16V.
